Fijians around the country will now benefit from the 30 ambulances donated by the Chinese government to help assist our health service.
Minister for Health and Medical Services Rosy Akbar announced this while officiating at the Chinese New Year Reception in Suva yesterday.
While Speaking to the Fiji Sun, Ms Akbar said once the ambulances were released to the Ministry they would look at the areas that were needed the most.
“We will see the best need and will allocate the ambulance to those divisions,” she said.
She added the Ministry would continue to provide free services to the patients.
There are 25 ambulances that are currently in service.
