New Zealand-based Air Accident Investigator Andrew McGregor and his team presented a Sevusevu to the Turaga-Ni-Koro of Dogoru, Semi Radradra and his people asking for their help yesterday.
Mr Radradra said they have accepted the request from Mr McGregor and his team so they can safely do their investigation.
“Mr McGregor and his team have come to the village asking us if we could help them locate all the wreckage of the plane that the two pilots were in,” Mr Radradra said.
“We have accepted their request and on Monday the villagers will start their journey in collecting the wreckage.”
Mr McGregor said the investigation will take place after all the plane wreckage was collected.
Police said the post mortem examination for the late Iliesa Tawalo and merelesita Lutu had been conducted and their bodies ahd been handed over to their families.
Post mortem results will not be released because the investigation is on going.
