Some Australia-based SODELPA members were given a preview of the party’s election manifesto in Sydney, Australia, last night.
This was confirmed yesterday by party leader Sitiveni Rabuka to the Fiji Sun.
“We are giving them a preview that was given to the provisional candidates a few weeks ago and they will need to comment on it. This is because these people in New South Wales, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne will not be present at the launch,” Mr Rabuka said.
He said the manifesto launch would be held in Suva. In an earlier interview with Mr Rabuka, he said there was no point launching the manifesto anywhere else.
He said once the event committee finalised the venue and the date of the launch, they would work accordingly.
Mr Rabuka was welcomed with a sevusevu (welcome yaqona presentation) and a light supper by the party officials in Sydney when he arrived on Friday.
