Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will be meeting his Australian counterpart, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Sydney today.
This was confirmed from Sydney by the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office, Yogesh Karan.
He said the PM’s first engagement today would be at the Australia/suvaonline.com/local/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>fiji Business Council where he would be delivering the keynote address.
In the afternoon he would be meeting with Mr Turnbull.
Tonight, Mr Bainimarama would be speaking at a Black Tie Charity Dinner.
Tomorrow, he will be chief guest at the suvaonline.com/local/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>fiji Day celebrations in Sydney.
He returns home on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a team from the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, are also be at the celebrations to register iTaukei not registered in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB).
This was confirmed by the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of the iTaukei Affairs Naipote Katonitabua.
His team was also with Mr Bainimarama at the suvaonline.com/local/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>fiji Day celebrations in Canada and California.
He said in Sydney they would be doing what they did in Canada and California.
Mr Katonitabua said the team was also ready to clear misinformation and lies spread through social media. The issues included iTaukei land and rights.
