Police has confirmed that the body of the 67-year-old farmer of Navala who was swept away by strong currents last week has been found.
Earlier in the day officers from Ba had searched the Ba River with negative results.
Chief Operations Officer Acting ACP Meretino Qiolevu said the victim’s body was later discovered by a 35-year-old fisherman of Tavua floating in the Vatia River in Tavua last night between 9 to 10pm.
His body is now being kept at the Tavua Hospital awaiting post mortem examination.
