A man and his sister, suspects in a series of crimes, have been arrested in Naseyani, Ra.
They were nabbed by Police officers from Rakiraki and Tavua who pursued a vehicle allegedly stolen from the Eastern Division, which was sighted in their area of operation.
A Police report said the chase ended when officials from the Water Authority of Fiji assisted by blocking the road at Naseyani. The car veered off the road.
When the vehicle was searched a man, a woman and a child were found inside. It was allegedly driven by the man, believed to be in his 30s.
Police said it had since been established that the three were from one family.
The two adults are wanted for a series of cases ranging from alleged theft and burglary.
They are also allegedly linked to an incident which went viral on social media. Some shopkeepers were allegedly duped into giving more money after the suspects would complain of being shortchanged.
Reports have been lodged in Labasa as well as in the Western Division,
Police say the two adults are in custody while the child was sent back to the care of his mother as investigations continue.
