Fiji’s non-resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, Seleima Veisamasama, presented her credentials to the Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob at the Istana last week.
The ceremony was attended by senior government Officials from Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
High Commissioner Veisamasama was accompanied by Counsellor Mereseini Waibuta from the Fijian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The High Commissioner, who was an educator by profession prior to her appointment, is an advocate of social issues and for the preservation of nature, including the local implementation of best practices that address climate change and the environment for Small Island
Developing States like Fiji. She also intends to further deepen the bilateral relations between Fiji and Singapore.
