"China and North Korea have kept normal trade exchanges as neighboring countries. China has fully implemented the UN Security Council's sanctions on North Korea, and insisted the sanctions do not affect the lives of North Korean people and its normal economy," read a release on the website of the Chinese Embassy in North Korea on Friday.
The release followed reports that North Korea had banned the sale of certain Chinese products.
Reports that North Korea banned Chinese products were untrue, the release said.
China-made food, fruits, daily use products, household appliances and other products were selling as usual in North Korea, it said.
"We hope the media and netizens pay attention to authoritative news sources and do not trust rumors or even spread them," the release read.
